MCAV - Metalúrgica Central de Alhos Vedros, Lda , was established in 1983, having been orientated to the manufacture of steel structures and mechanical component repairs.

Its main interest was then focused on the development of the steel structure construction activity, having included manufacturing of the pressure vessels, storage tanks and piping systems.

In 1992 the company developed new areas of works, such as manpower supply, mechanical design, power boiler maintenance and anti-corrosive surface treatment.

Today MCAV is able to compete with all the main companies in the field.

MCAV Quality System qualification according to NP EN ISO 9001:2000 is certificate by APCER PT 00/CEP.1061.
